2 miles, 2000, 1000 in the AM. 2 miles were from Allen, going left at the road fork, then to Mentor and up, back on Cornell, ending at the gym entrance. 2k and 1k were on the track: Respectively, my times were 7:12/13:56, 97/6:25/7:55, 91/3:01/3:45.
Workout felt pretty good. I like track workouts. Ran the 3k stride for stride with Masha, and then on the track I stayed steady and ran with Susan, basically. Awesome.

Pretty short run, Rose Villa, weave down to Sierra Madre until Canterbury, and Lombardy, and then to Oxford, back to Campus on Lombardy in the PM. Today was a fun practice =D, did abs afterward. It was pretty warm outside, legs pretty heavy (probably from yesterday morning's workout).

Indian Fartlek at Lacy in the AM. Warm up was Lacy the long way. Legs kind of tired for some reason. Also, I don't think I can make Thursday mornings anymore, if they continue to make me late for 3b.
Friday:
~50 minutes in the afternoon, following some made up route. Quads are sore. Iced the left shin.
Saturday:
In the AM. Legs (quads) quite sore. Did the 2-miles backwards, then 2*(<~800) on Sierra Madre, 3x(1 minute on, 1 minute off with Sylvia and Best), 4*200's on this street, then headed back to Tech doing 5 striders. Iced the shins.
Lovedrunk.
I used to be, but now I'm hungover (on work).

2x1600, 2x800, 2x400 on the track. with 4 min/2min/1 min rest respectively. Goal pace: 6:30
Respectively, my times were
91/3:12/4:5?/6:24
98/3:15/4:51/6:21
97/3:11
91/2:29
88
79
The workout felt pretty good; I thought I was going to get too tired from going too fast from the first one, and I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't crash and burn. I think I'll be sore tomorrow... Then I did light weights with Clara.

5-4-3-2-1 in the AM at Lacy.
Ran with Masha for basically the whole thing. Legs were feeling a bit tight/tired, but it was okay. Surprisingly not sore (from yesterday.) Tight paraformis/hamstring/something that requires stretching.

Prerace down San Pasqual to Sierra Madre, back on Lombardy. Oof, it was a hot one today. Legs felt pretty dead. And I was sore when I woke up this morning >:-0. Sore hip-flexors (tight IT band?) from riding a bike to practice.. how dumb, right? Never again...

Multi-duals at La Mirada, 9am race.
This race started out alright. But I had a very bad race: I got a stitch 1.5? miles into the race. And then the rest of it, I was just kind of hanging on and wanting to finish. Did not achieve my goals. I can make up a plethora of excuses as to why I had a bad race, (it was hot, I had a stitch, blah blah blah) but I just need to make sure this doesn't happen at SCIAC's.
Notes to self: Goals for next time.
1. Warm up sufficiently for myself. The warmup was kind of funky - I would have preferred to start walking the course, and then towards the end do the uphill to the end, instead of lots of stopping and going a lot. I don't know, I didn't really feel warmed up at all, with the way warm-up was structured this time.
2. Stitch: Definitely need to drink more water before next week's race.
3. Get more sleep and get my work done on time. The beginning of this week was terrible.. don't want to repeat that (Notice the lack of entries for Monday and Tuesday). Along with this goal is to encourage my teammates to also get their shit done on time. Too many people have been missing practice/meets because they a)didn't sleep, b)needed to catch up on work, or some combination of both. Everyone's also been a bit sick, but that wave should have passed soon.
That's all for now, folks.

Après moi, le deluge
rotation is over... the term (of much work) has begun =[.

Lower Arroyo, 67 minutes with Perrin
Run felt pretty good, and I couldn't really judge the pace. I feel like we could have run the whole thing faster, but legs felt fresh. I got a headache; I think I'm still suffering the effects of severe dehydration.

AM practice at Lacy. 2x700, 2x1500, 2x700, jogging the 100 in between.
Oops, was running late this morning... will show up early from now on.
Today was not a good day. I ran pretty slowly, and my legs felt really heavy and kind of numb. It was like that feeling of tingliness when your arms are really cold, and they feel a bit clammy or something. Really weird. Anyways, my legs were just not moving and felt quite sluggish. First 700 was 3:06, and then 3:03. 1500's were 6:46 and 7:10. I'm not sure what I went on the last two 700's, but I don't really want to know... mrawr.
Wednesday: did not run, woke up with a sore throat that persisted through hot water and medications :(. Don't want to get other people sick, if I am indeed sick, so stayed away from practice.

San Marino Hill Circuit, 7.3 miles, in the AM:
1. Down Sierra Madre (6:03?)
2. Euston
3. Oxford
4. Patton
5. Shenandoah
6. Kewen
7. Cannon (the short one, not the long one =D)
Today, I woke up at 6:10 and was contemplating whether or not I should go to practice. I didn't sleep that well, and still had a sore throat. But I went, and finished the workout. It didn't feel like that that great of a workout, but I also feel like I wasn't running slowly today, and the legs felt much much better than Tuesday. I was wearing tights, so perhaps they were warm enough. Practice ran a bit long today, so I was running late for lab, and didn't have anything with me.. boo.

Easy run in the PM, as a team. Was pretty tired today, despite sleeping for quite a long time... not sore at all from yesterday, just feeling a bit fatigued.
Ladies had a team meeting, which I think was productive. I really like our team this year, lots of new blood and old. Have fun and practice smartly to get ready for SCIACS. I'm pumped!

Tempo run (intervals, rather?) in the Arroyo.
Today's workout was structured rather strangely. We didn't really have a warm up. It was 3 of the loops, but the first one wasn't a warm-up, per se. It was a run, about a minute slower than what we should normally run. Then the second was building up to race pace. Third one was at race pace. Then after that, we did 4x400, broken down into: 100 of form, build to strider, then 200 sprint. Perrin was smokin' on those.
First loop - 7:45/11:56.
Second loop - 6:45/10:36
Third loop - 6:26/10:21?(not sure about the last digit of that).
I was running with Susan for the bulk of it. I was kind of afraid of the lack of warmup, since the legs were not happy about that on Tuesday, but it was mostly ok. The last one was hard, and I slowed down after the mile.. but it felt like a good workout. Although I could feel the legs getting tired, I kept having spurts of energy when I thought about my form, especially along the back part after crossing the bridge. It was also great having Susan there to run with.
